Superstar Shakeup 2019: To Smackdown

In a post published exactly 24 hours ago, I wrote about Kambi's Superstar Shakeup prop markets in which customers could place wagers on NXT or Smackdown talent moving over to Raw. In today's post, I'll focus on the specials that should be settled in favour of NXT/Raw wrestlers moving to Smackdown.

Superstar Shakeup Prop Bets: Kairi Sane

On last week's edition of Smackdown, Paige revealed that her new tag team - who are being paired together to be a threat to the Women's Tag Team Champions, The IIconics - are Asuka and Kairi Sane.

Sane was the only name on Kambi's list of NXT wrestlers who came up to Smackdown. When the market was first priced up on February 17th, the bookies were offering 23/20 on the 2017 Mae Young Classic winner moving on from her then current brand. By March 31st, the odds were cut to EVS but, by April 7th, the eventual winning selection had drifted out to 7/5.

WWE Intercontinental Champion, Finn Balor, moved over from Raw to the blue brand last week. When it was first installed, the bookies gave Balor odds of 7/10 to move while the option to bet on Balor sticking on Raw was EVS.

By March 31st, the 'Yes' selection was trimmed to 13/20 as the 'No' was moved to 11/10. Then, by April 5th, the market returned to its initial pricing following backing of the 'No'.

The eventual winning selection appeared to have once again been backed shortly before the market closed as the 'Yes' finished off at 11/20.

Elias was the penultimate name to officially move during the Smackdown broadcast from last week. From the betting, you can see that the bookies thought he would remain on the red brand as the 'No' opened as a 1/3 favourite to the 'Yes' at 2/1. The punters seemingly disagreed as the 'Yes' was moved in to 8/5 when the market was republished at the end of March and was once again shortened - this time to 6/4 - by April 5th.
