Post-Raw 5Dimes Odds For Mania 35

I watched last night's episode of WWE Raw when I woke up this morning. Then - at 9AM BST - I took note of the 5Dimes Sportsbook's markets in order to see if anything from the show had prompted any changes. I noticed something that was going to be the main thing I pointed out when I got back to my PC but - in the couple of hours between noting the odds - the market changed again.

The match market I am referring to is the one for the Universal Championship.

When I checked in this morning, Brock Lesnar was at -105 to successfully retain his strap. The last price I had, before then, was the +110 from last night.

As a result of Lesnar's price moving in, the oddsmakers increased Seth Rollins to -135. He was -155 before Raw.

You'll see that Rollins has now been backed in -145 while Lesnar has drifted out to +105.

Date/Time
Brock Lesnar
Seth Rollins
17/3 10:00PM
+175
-245
24/3 4:00PM
+160
-210
24/3 9:30PM
+155
-195
25/3 11:00AM
+177
-250
26/3 7 9:00AM
+175
-245
28/3 10:00AM

-190
29/3 9:00AM
+135
-175
31/3 9:00AM
+120
-160
1/4 9:00AM
+115
-155
2/4 9:00AM
-105
-135
2/4 11:00AM
+105
-145

Another match market that was adjusted following Raw is the one for the Intercontinental Championship.

Finn Balor has dropped from -460 into -600. This is unsurprising considering Balor has revealed that he'll work the match against the champion, Bobby Lashley, under the Demon King alter-ego.

With Balor's price coming in, Lashley has moved out to +400 from +320.
As I've noted in previous updates, I do not intend to dedicate much coverage to the battle royal markets this year. I do plan on keeping an eye on how the favourites are performing against The Field, though.

Braun Strowman - who was +100 yesterday - is once again back up to +110 while The Field has returned to -150 from -140.

In the women's battle royal market, Lacey Evans has dipped from yesterday's +180 into +175. Those looking to oppose her can find 'The Field' at -245, which is up from -260.

Date/Time
Lacey Evans
The Field
1/4 9:00AM
+200
-280
1/4 9:00PM
+180
-260
2/4 9:00AM

-245

The rest of the markets are unchanged.

Buddy Murphy -350
Tony Nese +250

Divas of Doom +1,150
Field .vs. Favourites +245

Daniel Bryan +250
Kofi Kingston -350

Prices correct as of 9AM/11AM BST and taken from The 5Dimes Website.

  1. Hey David, after watching Raw you still think Rollins wins at Wrestlemania ?

To me, I think Lesnar will retain

    1. I'm currently listening to today's WOR and Meltzer said that last night's angle was meant to have been Lesnar getting the best of Rollins and it was changed last minute in order to not have a weak challenger going into the match.

Rollins promised to win. If Reigns wasn't back, I would have said that for sure means Rollins is winning.

There was also the visual of him holding the title, which - to me - is a sign Lesnar keeps the strap.

I know I'm not giving you a direct answer but last night did make me start doubting Rollins' chances even though I still think there's a possibility he does win.

    2. Put it this way - I have those bets on Lesnar to drop the title at Mania etc so I am trying to find a case for Rollins more so now than I was before last night.

  2. Is there a show in Saudi Arabia in May ?

    1. Meltzer said it's 'in flux' to someone who asked about it the other day. The person asked because The Undertaker is apparently booked for the Saudi show but he's also meant to be on the UK talk tour thing he's lined up for.

    2. Abraham, in this week's issue of the Observer, Dave Meltzer reports that the Saudi Arabia show appears to be taking place in June rather than May 3rd.

  3. It will be interesting to see this match.
From the beginning, i always had this feeling that one of three babyfaces Rollins, Becky and Kofi won't win the title.

Kofi and Becky to me are damn sure winning. Seth was always doubtful for me and last night's segment made my prediction more stronger.

    1. I'm still not ruling out Ronda from winning it.

    2. Interesting. Can you explain why Ronda is your pick ?

    3. I have so many ideas.

      1) Travis Browne somehow helps Ronda
      2) Stephanie helps her (there were reports that Lynch .vs. Stephanie is a plan for the summer.. so this is where it could happen. Becky mentioned the McMahons probably not liking the thought of her being champ last night)
      3) They could have Baszler, Duke and Shafir interfere and this would set up the Horsewomen .vs. Horsewomen. Dave Meltzer wrote this in last week's issue 'The plan is also to come out of this match with a clear direction for next year’s WrestleMania, whether that means Rousey returns for a singles match with Lynch, or Flair vs. Lynch' - what if it's the Horsewomen .vs. Horsewomen thing?

Also - having Ronda win the Smackdown title, you automatically have her tied to both brands for the move to Fox.

(I also have that bet on Ronda to retain and Becky to win the Raw title on the Raw after Mania so that is also clouding my judgement!)

    1. That's not 'clear and obvious', I'm afraid.

    2. Ya man, no way Vince would allow Seth defeat lesnar clean especially not in the opening match of Mania 35.....oh wait

  6. After last night's raw, I'm also starting to think Lesnar is retaining, which also pushes me to think Becky is winning.

I doubt we will see 3 new champions in Seth, Becky and Kofi all in the same night.

  8. I got a feeling that Lesnar will retain at Wrestlemania and Rollins wins in Saudi ( if there is a show in May )
