WrestleMania 35 Weather Prop Bet Update For April 4th

On Monday morning, a thought struck me. I should have waited a few hours before writing about Kambi's WrestleMania 35 weather prop bet and have some of you wonder whether the market really did exist or if it was an April Fool's Day joke.

As I wrote about it on March 31st, it obviously is no joke. You really can bet on Mania being a 'Wet Event' or not.

There is little to report in the odds. The price for 'at least 0.5mm of rain to be recorded' at MetLife Stadium on Sunday - during the PPV - is still 19/10 while the option to bet on 'No' rain of that level counted is a 7/20 favourite.

The market will be graded on the weather results that are recorded on accuweather.com. I've just had a look at the current forecast for Sunday and it states that, during the day, it should be 'Turning cloudy' but then, at night, it'll be 'mostly cloudy' with 'periods of rain late'.

How late is late?!

Sunday night's forecast is estimating 6mm of rain.

The daily forecast screen states that 'Periods of rain' are expected tomorrow. While, Monday's report points to the rain from Sunday night 'tapering off'.

1:10PM BST Update: Shortly after publishing the post, the odds for 'Yes' were moved to 1/3 favourite while the option to wager on 'No' rain was moved to 2/1.

    1. I know they read it.

I didn't bet on it because I put 20p on the 'No' on Sunday just to see how it ends up being settled.
A friend of mine called me while I was writing the post and I told him about it and he said he might put a couple of quid on for a laugh. Not sure if he did.
