Smackdown Women's Championship Betting Update For May 24th

Sky Bet's 'Smackdown Women's Champion After Becky Lynch' market was last available on the night of Charlotte Flair's title win over Lynch at WWE Money in the Bank 2019. It has obviously been settled with Flair as the winning selection.

As you can see in the table below, I followed the market from the date that it first became available right up to Sunday evening.

The last price I have for Flair is the 11/8 she was moved to on the day of the show. This was the shortest price I noticed for the eventual winning selection. The best price I noticed Flair at was the 3/1 from the April 22nd. The selection remained there until it began to decline a couple of days later.

You can click on the image below to see how Flair's odds were adjusted.

You'll also notice, in the table, that - in the hours ahead of showtime - Bayley and Mandy Rose moved in. The moves make sense when you consider that the two ladies were two likely names to win the Money in the Bank briefcase from the Smackdown brand.

As we now know, Bayley did end up winning the Smackdown Women's Championship but she did so after Flair defeated Becky Lynch for the strap.

Sky Bet has priced up a 'Smackdown Women's Champion After Bayley' market. It has been available since earlier this week. You'll see below that Charlotte Flair has been the favourite to win in this market as well. Her price has moved in from EVS and is currently at 4/5 after a short stay at 10/11.

Flair isn't alone, though.

Bayley's Boss 'N Hug Connection partner, Sasha Banks - who is currently on a hiatus from WWE - has moved to second-favourite from 10/1 into 7/1 in the days following the market's release.

I was one of the customers who has gambled on Sasha Banks. One reason is because her name was brought up in Bayley's post-match interview on Sunday night. I have the feeling that WWE wouldn't have mentioned Banks if there wasn't a feeling she'll end up back.

10/1 was worth a speculative punt. There's evidently another customer - or customers - who thought Sasha was worth a gamble at 8s.
