Kambi Puts Up New G1 Markets For August 1st And 7th Shows

Kambi's oddsmakers have added more markets to their coverage of this year's NJPW G1 Climax tournament.

Before today's additions, there were no markets available for matches that were set for the B Block show for this coming Thursday and the A Block matches that are scheduled for Wednesday August 7th.

In this post, I'll go through all of the markets available for the four bouts.

August 1st (B Block): Juice Robinson .vs. Tetsuya Naito
This has become quite an important match for Tetsuya Naito's chances of making it to the final after losing today's match to Jon Moxley earlier today. Naito has four points to Robinson's six. The bookies have Naito a 13/10 underdog. A win for Robinson will pay out t 13/25.
As per usual, there's also a separate special in which clients can place bets on a draw. For this bout, the bookies are offering 3/1 on the tie.
Wrestling Observer star rating bettors will find the line for  this match set at 4 stars.

August 1st (B Block): Toru Yano .vs. Jon Moxley
As mentioned above, Moxley beat Naito this morning. He now has 10 points and the people closer to him in the table - Juice Robinson and Tomohiro Ishii - are two wins behind. They have Moxley as an 11/50 favourite while Yano is 11/4.
I think Moxley's going to have to stumble somewhere (unless they go with Okada .vs. Moxley in the final in a battle between two undefeated block winners). I have a feeling he'll lose to Jay White on August 4th because White is in a position where he needs to win the rest of his matches to still be in the hunt on the final night of block matches.
When the markets came out for the last night of B Block, I had Robinson to play spoiler against Moxley on the last night of the B Block matches, but I cannot shake off the thought that Yano is worth a small bet at 11/4.
The special for a draw is 4/1 while the Observer star rating line is 2.50.

August 7th (A Block): Kota Ibushi .vs. Zack Sabre Jr.
Kota Ibushi is a 1/3 favourite to get two points against ZSJ (2/1) and I think that - on paper - it's fair considering the latter has only two points as of the time of writing and Ibushi has won his last three. It's worth noting that ZSJ has been talking about playing spoiler now that his chance of winning the G1 is dead in the water. Or very close to it.
Those looking to back the draw will find it at 2/1. The Observer line has been set at 4/75 stars.

August 7th (A Block): Will Ospreay .vs. KENTA
KENTA has been installed as a 1/2 favourite to beat Will Ospreay in another match scheduled for August 7th. A win for Ospreay will pay out at 7/5.
5/2 pricing is being offered for the match to go to a tie while the Observer line is 4.5 stars.
