NXT Beats AEW Dynamite For 1st Time (And How The Betting Markets Will Be Settled)

ShowBuzzDaily.com has published the viewership numbers for last night's pro wrestling TV and it's good news for NXT as it beat AEW Dynamite for the first time since the two programmes have gone head-to-head on Wednesday nights.

It was very close, though.

NXT had an audience of 916,000 while AEW Dynamite's number was recorded at 893,000.

Now that the results are in public domain, viewership prop bets - that were released by Kambi for this week's TV - will be settled.

The first proposition asked customers whether AEW Dynamite would have an audience of 950,000 or more. The winning selection will be 'No'. It was EVS while its opposing selection, 'Yes', was a 7/10 favourite.

NXT's viewership prop had a line of '0.8 Million or More'. The 916,000 recorded viewership means that any bets on the 'Yes', which was a 9/10 outsider to the 'No' at 4/5, will be settled in the punters' favour.

There were other markets available that will be settled from these results.

A special titled 'Up For Wednesday' asked customers whether the combined numbers for NXT and AEW Dynamite would beat the combined total of 1,707,000 for last week's editions. This market will be graded in favour of the 'Yes' - which was a 4/5 favourite over the 9/10 for 'No' - as the total was 1,809,000.

Another market that will be settled following the results is a 'Spread' proposition in which customers had the opportunity to wager on AEW Dynamite having 200,000 more viewers than NXT.

Both 'Yes' and 'No' were 17/20. Following Raw, I took a gamble on the 'No' as I felt there was a chance of NXT at least keeping it close as Triple H indicated that he would allow Raw and Smackdown stars to appear on the show.

The market was taken off the board later that day. In its place was a special which asked customers whether NXT would have more viewers than AEW Dynamite.

The eventual winning selection - 'Yes' - drifted from 4/5 to EVS after the 'No' was taken down from 9/10 to 7/10.
