WrestleKingdom 14 Result Means Last G1 Climax Prop Bet From 2019 Is Finally Settled

Kota Ibushi has just lost his IWGP Heavyweight Championship challenge against Kazuchika Okada in the main event of night one of this year's NJPW WrestleKingdom.

The result means that the final prop bet from Kambi's coverage of last summer's G1 Climax tournament will be settled.

In the prop, customers were able to bet whether or not the eventual winner of the G1 would win the IWGP Heavyweight Championship at WrestleKingdom 14.

With Ibushi failing to do so, the winning selection will be graded as 'No'. As you can see below, the option started off at 11/10 in June. However, by late-July, the bookies slashed the odds to 7/10.

The 'Yes' was then backed into 11/20 from EVENS, but then drifted out to 11/10 when 'No' fell from 5/4 into 13/20.

You can see how the winning selection went from outsider to favourite from the day the market was first installed right up to the day of the tournament final.
