How Kambi Will Settle Its Observer Markets For WWE Elimination Chamber 2020

This week's issue of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter - which includes Dave Meltzer's review of last Sunday's WWE Elimination Chamber 2020 - was released in the early hours of this morning.

The report saw two bouts given the most stars. The winners were the WWE Smackdown Tag Team Championship match that was contested inside the chamber and the main show opener which saw Daniel Bryan score a submission win over Drew Gulak.

They each received four stars.

Now that the issue has been published, Kambi's oddsmakers will settle all of the Observer star ratings markets that were released for the event.

Considering that two matches shared the spoils for match of the night, a prop that was available will be settled in favour of 'Yes'.

Kambi asked customers to gamble whether or not there would be 'Joint Winners' in Meltzer's review. The winning selection was given 33/20 over the 21/50 that was offered for there not to be a tie for the highest number of stars.

With four stars being the maximum handed out in the review,  the 'Exact Star Rating' market will settle with 'Exactly 4 Stars' winning at 9/4. Its opposing selections - 'Over 4 Stars' and 'Under 4 Stars' - will lose at 13/10 and 4/6 respectively.

The draw means that there will be a dead-heat applied in the market in which customers could have bet on the match they thought would end up being the 'Highest Rated' in Meltzer's review.

The two winning selections were available at 13/4 (Smackdown Tag Team Championship) and 4/1 (Bryan .vs. Gulak) throughout the weekend.

As you can see, there appears to have been wagers placed on the AJ Styles versus Aleister Black match ending up with the most stars in the review as it was backed from 2/1 into 7/4 between Saturday afternoon and Sunday evening. The match was given three-and-a-half stars from the reviewer.

The Smackdown Tag Team Championship match competed against the women's Elimination Chamber match in a head-to-head special in which clients could gamble on the bout they thought would get the most stars out of the two bouts. It should go without saying that 'WWE Smackdown Tag Team Championship' was the winning selection.

The ladies' match received two-and-a-quarter stars, so those who backed the men's chamber match from EVS right down to 7/20 in the period when the market was available made the right bets.

A second head-to-head, this time pitting the 'WWE US Championship' match - Andrade .vs. Carrillo -against The Street Profits versus Seth Rollins and Murphy for the 'WWE Raw Tag Team Championship' was settled with the former winning at odds of 11/10.

The tag team match was given three stars while Andrade and Carrillo's outing scored three-and-three-quarters.

Going in, Kambi had the tag match as a 17/20 favourite. The option to wager on both matches having the 'Same Amount' of stars was 43/20.

The main event markets of Kambi's Wrestling Observer star ratings specials are the Over/Unders that are published for each PPV. These will also be graded now that the issue has been released. All of the results for the matches that had star ratings lines for them can be found in the table below.
