It's B Block's second round of matches in this morning's visit to the NJPW G1 Climax. In this post, I'll go through the match markets to see how the betting went right up to this morning's show.
Hirooki Goto (0-1) .vs. SANADA (0-1)
Two wrestlers sitting on zero points will kick off proceedings when Hirooki Goto and SANADA clash.
The market for this bout was first installed on September 13th with SANADA an 11/25 favourite. Following the results of night one, Kambi republished the market with the favourite's price reduced slightly into 2/5.
A decision in favour of Goto closed at 7/4. It started off at 8/5.
Hiroshi Tanahashi, who lost to Tetsuya Naito in the main event of B Block's opening night, started off as a 2/5 favourite to beat Toru Yano in their meeting when the market was first published on Sunday.
Since then, it has been the favourite all the way. By Monday, Tanahashi was down to 1/3. The following day, his price had fallen to 1/4 and - upon this morning's visit - I noticed it had fallen into 1/6.
Yano, who scored a betting upset against SANADA on Sunday, started off at 7/4. With Tanahashi's odds falling over the past few days, the underdog closed at 13/4.
Match Winner: Toru Yano
Two wrestlers with opening round wins will meet post-intermission with KENTA a closing 11/20 favourite over Juice Robinson (5/4).
Interestingly, when the market first opened, the two wrestlers opened at the prices they closed at. However, the initial action appears to have came in on Robinson because his price was shortened into 27/25 while KENTA's was moved up to 4/6.
By this morning, both selections were back to their original pricing.
EVIL will prevail over Yoshi-Hashi, to pick up his first two points of the tourney, if the punters have gambled on the correct selection in the Yoshi-Hashi .vs. EVIL market.
As you can see, EVIL started out as an 11/50 when the market was installed on Sunday afternoon. The favourite had fallen into 1/6 by 10:30AM BST the following morning and was then down into 2/13 by 4:00PM BST yesterday.
It didn't stop there. I noticed that EVIL was at 1/8 when I visited the website this morning.
With EVIL falling across the three days, his opponent had moved up from 14/5 to 4/1.
Match Winner: EVIL
Tetsuya Naito (1-0) .vs. Zack Sabre Jr (1-0)
The market for today's main event first went live on September 13th with the current IWGP Heavyweight and Intercontinental Champion - Tetsuya Naito - a 1/3 favourite over the 2/1 for Zack Sabre Jr.
When the market was first adjusted a week later, the price for ZSJ had lowered into 17/10 with Naito moved up slightly to 2/5.
Sabre's price dipped again. This time it was moved into 8/5 by yesterday evening.
Match Winner: Tetsuya Naito
