G1 Climax 30 Betting: Night 3

Night three of this year's NJPW G1 Climax tournament is currently in progress. The bouts on tonight's card are for the A Block and there are match markets for all five contests. Before I get to those markets, there have been adjustments made to a couple of outright markets that should be pointed out.

Three selections have shortened in Kambi's outright tournament winner market. They are: Kota Ibushi (7/2 into 13/4), Tetsuya Naito (7/2 into 13/4) and Shingo Takagi (20/1 into 17/1).

As you can see above, SANADA remains a 2/1 favourite. There are now three selections as second-favourite with Kazuchika Okada - who has drifted from 3/1 - joining Ibushi and Naito at 13/4.

A final featuring Jay White and EVIL appears to have been backed in the 'Exact Combination of Finalists' market as the selection for the encounter - featuring Bullet Club's major players - has dipped from 17/1 into 14/1.

The only other change in the finalist market has seen 'Kota Ibushi .vs. KENTA' drift out to 14/1 from its previous price 12/1. It had started out at 20/1 when the market was first installed ten days ago.

Now, onto today's round of matches.

G1 Climax 30: Night 3 Betting Odds

Jeff Cobb (0-1) .vs. Shingo Takagi (0-1)
Barring a draw, one of these participants will get their first two points of the tournament. A market for their match was first installed on Sunday with Shingo Takagi a 3/4 favourite over Jeff Cobb.

By early yesterday evening, Takagi's price had been lowered to 13/25 while Cobb's was pushed up from 19/20 to 13/10.

Match Winner: Jeff Cobb

Kazuchika Okada (0-1) .vs. Yujiro Takahashi (0-1)
Another contest between two wrestlers with zero points sees betting favourite - Kazuchika Okada - take on the Tokyo Pimp Yujuro Takahashi.

The market for this match was first installed on September 13th with Okada at 2/13. His price was cut into 1/8 yesterday.

G1 Climax 30 Betting: Okada .vs. Takahashi

With Okada backed, Takahashi went out to 4/1 from 7/2.

Match Winner: Kazuchika Okada

Minoru Suzuki (1-0) .vs. Taichi (1-0)
The battle between Suzuki-gun members had a market opened for it over the weekend with Taichi a slight 4/5 favourite over his leader, Minoru Suzuki (9/10).

Match Winner: Taichi

Tomohiro Ishii (0-1) .vs. Will Ospreay (1-0)
Another market that was created on Sunday was for the Tomohiro Ishii .vs. Will Ospreay match. It remained stationary right up to this morning with Ospreay an 11/20 favourite to Ishii's 5/4.

Match Winner: Will Ospreay

Kota Ibushi (1-0) .vs. Jay White (1-0)
Kambi published a market for today's main event on September 13th with Kota Ibushi a 3/5 favourite and Jay White at 6/5.

However, following the results of night one, White's odds had lowered into 19/20 and Ibushi was moved up slightly to 3/4.

By yesterday evening, it was Ibushi's price that had moved in as it was at 8/13 and White was up to 23/20.
