B Block's batch of fourth round G1 Climax matches are set for this morning. In this post, I'll go through the early and later betting odds for all of the bouts on the card.
Juice Robinson (2-1) .vs. Toru Yano (3-0)
The market for Juice Robinson versus Toru Yano opened on Tuesday with the former a 13/25 favourite. When I visited the website this morning, his price had moved into 4/9.
Toru Yano closed at 6/4. He had started out at 13/10.
Match Winner: Juice Robinson
Hirooki Goto (1-2) .vs. Zack Sabre Jr. (1-2)
Just like the Robinson .vs. Yano market, Kambi started taking wagers on the Hirooki Goto versus Zack Sabre Jr bout earlier this week.
When it went live, Zack Sabre Jr was a 7/10 favourite over Goto (EVS).
The market was still showing those prices right up to the start of today's match.
Match Winner: Zack Sabre Jr.
Hiroshi Tanahashi (1-2) .vs. Yoshi-Hashi (1-2)
The Hiroshi Tanahashi versus Yoshi-Hashi market is another that was first published at the start of this week and was still showing the same prices right up to the bell.
Tanahashi was a 2/13 favourite while Yoshi-Hashi was 7/2.
Match Winner: Hiroshi Tanahashi
KENTA (2-1) .vs. EVIL (1-2)
Betting on today's penultimate match on the card began on September 13th with EVIL a 13/20 favourite. His Bullet Club colleague - KENTA - was 11/10.
The favourite's price dropped into 3/5 a little under a week ago and was then cut into 13/25 on Tuesday. It remained there right up to the start of the match.
Match Winner: EVIL
Tetsuya Naito (3-0) .vs. SANADA (0-3)
SANADA was an 11/20 favourite to win today's main event against Tetsuya Naito (5/4) when the market was first published on September 13th.
By September 20th, Naito's odds had shortened into 11/10 while his opponent's had risen to 13/20.
Five days later, SANADA began to slide and was at 2/7 this morning. His odds fell into 1/5 while the show was in progress.
Naito closed as a 3/1 underdog.
Match Winner: SANADA
