Stafford and Goff have been traded!
After that, I came across the other news pertaining the Royal Rumble. Firstly - that Randy Orton and Edge have drawn numbers one and two respectively for tonight's battle royal.
If you read THIS POST from yesterday, you would have been aware that I settled on Daniel Bryan as my number one pick to win the Rumble. Therefore, to see that Edge will be one of the men to kick off tonight's match has - as of right now - made me feel like I've made the right choice to side with Bryan.
When I found out about the two early entrants, I checked in with the Sky Bet website to see if there had been any adjustments made to their prices in the specials markets. The market was unavailable at the time I first looked, but is now back online.
The key market I was interesting in was the one for Edge to be the Rumble's iron man. As I noted yesterday, Edge's quest to headline another WrestleMania was the main tone from his promo on Monday night and I felt that it would become an obsession of his. To do that, I felt he should come close to winning tonight, but to fall near the end.
Now that we know that he'll enter at the start of the contest, I wanted to see how his price to be an iron man contrasted with last night.
Edge was 33/1 when I last visited the site at 11:00PM GMT. This was up from the 20/1 from January 21st.
As of this morning, the sportsbook has him at 9/4.
If Edge is going near to the end of the match, then there's now a decent chance of him getting the most eliminations as well.
Edge's odds have been halved from 16/1 in that market.
Randy Orton's prices in the iron man and most eliminations markets have also shortened following the news with The Viper to be the iron man has fallen from 20s into 5/1 and the most eliminations offer is now at 10/1 - a dip from 12/1.
Barring a swerve, Natalya will enter the women's match at number thirty. This is after she won a match against Tamina on WWE Backstage.
When Sky Bet first started taking bets on the final four, I noticed Natalya was 8/1. She was 13/2 at 11:00PM GMT last night and now, following last night's result, is now 1/3.
