A Browse Through Mania 38 Night 1 Main Event Odds

Earlier today, WWE announced that the WWE Raw Women's Championship match - which will see Becky Lynch defend the title against Bianca Belair - will be on the first night of this year's WrestleMania.

It was an interesting news item considering Charlotte Flair's WWE Smackdown Women's Championship defence against Ronda Rousey, also for night one, was advertised last week.

The two news notes are intriguing, from a betting perspective, because there is a strong chance one of those matches will headline Saturday's portion of Mania.

When Sky Bet first published a market in which customers could gamble on what the final match of Saturday would be, Lynch .vs. Belair was a 5/1 favourite. There were no options featuring Ronda Rousey because it was a few days before reports of Rousey's return began to circulate.

Selections featuring Rousey had been priced up by the day of the Royal Rumble. On the evening of the battle royal, the favourite selection - at odds of 4/5 - was 'Becky Lynch .vs. Ronda Rousey'. Following in second and third were 'Becky Lynch .vs. Bianca Belair' and 'Charlotte Flair .vs. Ronda Rousey' at 6/1 and 13/2 respectively.

I had a look after Dave Meltzer reported that Charlotte Flair versus Ronda Rousey was the plan for the WWE Smackdown Women's Championship match at WrestleMania. The bookies still had 'Lynch versus Rousey' at 4/5 and 'Lynch .vs. Belair' at 6/1, but the 'Charlotte Flair .vs. Ronda Rousey' selection had dropped into 2/1

There have been reports of a 'Stone Cold' Steve Austin singles match against Kevin Owens. If it happens (going by TV and some hints I've seen from Owens and Shawn Michaels on Twitter, it would not surprise me if it's Seth Rollins and Owens in a tag against Austin and Michaels), it might have consideration to close night one if it is placed on that night.

However, today's news makes me think there is a strong chance that Becky Lynch and Bianca Belair will close out the opening night because of something Lynch wrote on Twitter.

The WWE Raw Women's Champion pointed out that Belair and herself are the only two female wrestlers to win main events in WrestleMania history.
