G1 Climax 33: Night 3 Match Odds

BetOnline's oddsmakers have created match markets for today's NJPW G1 Climax 33 contests.

This morning's card sees A and B Block participants compete in their second round matches. In this post, I'll go through each match in order and point out the respective favourites and underdogs.

The first bout will see a battle between two wrestlers who won their opening round A Block matches over the weekend. Pro Wrestling Noah's Kaito Kiyomiya has been installed a heavy -1,000 favourite to add two more points with a decision over Chase Owens (+500).

B Block's opening contest of round two sees KENTA tangle with Great-O-Khan in a bout which guarantees that someone's 0 is going to go (unless the match is a tie and both their 0's are gone!) after both had losses on the tourney's opening weekend.

KENTA is -500 to his opponent's +300.

The third match-up is another between two wrestlers on zero points when Hikuleo and Gabe Kidd square off. The former, who lost to SANADA in the headline match on Saturday, has been priced up as the -150 favourite while a winning wager on Kidd will pay out at odds of +110.

Tanga Loa (2 points) is a +250 underdog for his meeting with another wrestler coming off a weekend win in Taichi. The latter - who beat one of the tournament favourites: Will Ospreay - is currently -400 with the sportsbook.

Yota Tsuji, coming off an opening round loss to Kaito Kiyomiya, is a -160 favourite to beat Ren Narita in their A Block meeting. A decision for Narita, who is on one point following his draw with Shota Umino, is +120.

Will Ospreay looks to pick up his first points with a win over YOSHI-HASHI. The bookmakers have set the Brit as a -1,000 fave to prevent his opponent from leaving the round with four points. Those looking for the gamble can find the Bishamon tag team member at +500.

A Block's biggest fixture in this round will see IWGP Heavyweight Champion - SANADA - take on one of New Japan's current - and future - prospects - Shota Umino. The bookies expect Umino to have his first loss of the tourney following his first round draw with Narita because he's priced +500 to SANADA's +1,000.

The main event will see B Block's Kazuchika Okada and El Phantasmo battle it out. The latter has been installed as a +700 while his opponent for the evening is -2,000.
