BetOnline has republished its betting markets for the G1 Climax.
All five markets have been readjusted factoring in the results from the first weekend of tournament bouts.
In this post, I'll go through each market and make some notes along the way highlighting all of the selections that have shortened, but will also include tables showing the status of those that may have drifted or are still unchanged as of the time of writing.
With Naito losing to Jeff Cobb in Sunday's main event, BetOnline has increased Naito to +250 leaving ZSJ - who picked up 2 points against Hiroshi Tanahashi - stationary at +200.
Jeff Cobb who, as stated above, beat Tetsuya Naito in their D Block meeting on Sunday. His odds have shortened into +300 from +500
Kaito Kiyomiya is now +400 from +500 after beating Yota Tsuji
Taichi has lowered into +600 from +800 following a win over Will Ospreay in their B Block meeting.
EVIL, who defeated Tama Tonga, is now +800 from +1,000
There is one selection with shorter odds who lost over the weekend and that is the one for Yota Tsuji. He is now +1,200 from +1,400.
Here are some notes about the four markets for Block Winner.
Kiyomiya is now +150 from +200. However, the Pro Wrestling Noah representative isn't the only wrestler whose odds have shortened in this market.
Chase Owens has had his price of +5,000 cut in half following his win against Gabe Kidd.
Second-favourite, Will Ospreay, following his loss to Taichi had his price doubled from +100. The result saw BetOnline move Taichi's number down from +500 into +300.
A couple of other selections are showing shorter odds following their wins over the weekend.
Tanga Loa, who beat KENTA, is now +400 from +700 while YOSHI-HASHI, who beat El Phantasmo in the tournament kick-off, has dipped into +700 from +900.
Finlay was able to beat Tomohiro Ishii, so he has two points in the bag.
Of the rest of the runners in this market - EVIL, Eddie Kingston and Mikey Nicholls have shorter odds than when the markets opened over a month ago.
EVIL is now the second-favourite to win the block. That's mainly because the previous favourite (and one of my personal favourites to win the tournament, the other being Tetsuya Naito) - Shingo Takagi - was defeated by Eddie Kingston on Sunday.
A block win for EVIL will now pay out at odds of +300. His previous number was +400. Takagi. on the other hand, has risen to +350 from +250 while his victor from Sunday has had his price cut in half.
Mikey Nicholls, after scoring a win over Henare, was lowered into +800 from +2,000.
When the market changed a week ago, it saw Naito fall into -120 from -110 while Zack Sabre Jr. was pushed up from -130 to -120 forcing both men to be joint-faves in both outright and D Block markets.
Naito's loss to Jeff Cobb resulted in the former moving up to +120 and Cobb fall into +200 from +350. This meant that ZSJ - who beat Hiroshi Tanahashi - returned to sole favouritism. For now. His odds have fallen into -150 from the aforementioned -120.
Shane Haste - a winner over Alex Coughlin - has had his price reduced from +800 into +500.
The second round matches will begin take place tomorrow and Wednesday.
