Following yesterday's G1 Climax 33 round of matches, the oddsmakers from BetOnline published markets for the next couple of events.
Nights five and six will see the tournament enter its third round with Blocks A and B competing tomorrow. Those matches will be followed by C and D Block fixtures on Sunday.
BetOnline has created markets for all of those sixteen matches in the round. In this post, I'll go through each Block in order, point out which matches are taking place over the next two events, the participants' current standings in the tourney as well as their respective odds to win in the the round.
A Block
The first third round match for A Block has Ren Narita taking on Gabe Kidd. You'll see, in the first table below, that both men are on two points each. Narita's two points came from ties.BetOnline lists Narita as a -150 favourite to Kidd's +110.
Hikuleo looks to pick up his first points of the tournament against Chase Owens (2 points) in the second A Block contest of the event.
Owens has been installed as a +250 underdog. A decision for Hikuleo is -400.
Pro Wrestling Noah's Kaito Kiyomiya is undefeated so far. His next bout will be against one of New Japan's rising stars - Shota Umino. Umino, who is also a -400 favourite, is currently on one point following his tie against Narita and second round loss to SANADA.
Those looking for Kiyomiya to go 3-0 can find him at -400.
The final A Block match in the round will have SANADA meet his Dominion 2023 challenger - Yota Tsuji. If you believe there will be a reversal of June's result, the +300 for a Tsuji victory may be appealing.
SANADA is -500 to get to six tournament points through a win over Tsuji.
B Block
Kazuchika Okada and Taichi are both at the top of B Block with two wins from two. They will compete against each other in the penultimate match on tomorrow's card.
Taichi is a +300 underdog for this contest. A decision for Okada will pay out at -500.
Tomorrow's card will open up with a battle between two wrestlers on two points in YOSHI-HASHI and Tanga Loa.
The bookmakers have installed the former as their favourite. He's -150 to Loa's +110.
The second B Block match on the card has a battle of two men seeking their first win of the tournament with -200 fave, El Phantasmo, competing against The Great-O-Khan (+150).
Another battle between wrestlers on level points, in this case: two, has Will Ospreay meeting KENTA. BetOnline has placed Ospreay as a -600 favourite over the +350 for KENTA.
C Block
All of the third round matches in C Block have wrestlers level on their respective points.
In the first C Block match of Sunday's card, Tama Tonga (2 points) will square off against Mikey Nicholls (2 points).
The bookies have Tonga at -400 and Nicholls out at +250.
The third C Block match will see Tomohiro Ishii and Shingo Takagi battle it out for their first tournament points of this year's G1.
BetOnline has given the nod to Takagi because he's -400 to Ishii's +250.
The main event of Sunday's event will see Bullet Club's leader - David Finlay - go up against the head of BC's splinter group - House of Torture - in EVIL.
As you can see, in the table above, both wrestlers are at the top with four points each. BetOnline lists Finlay as its -200 favourite. EVIL is +150.
D Block
BetOnline's tournament favourite - Zack Sabre Jr. - will open Sunday's show against Alex Coughlin. The latter has not won a match so far and has been priced up at +500.
ZSJ is -1,000 to continue his run and add another win.
Tetsuya Naito, who scored his first win of the tournament in yesterday's semi-main against Goto, has been installed as a -5,000 favourite over the winless Toru Yano (+1,000).
Finally - Jeff Cobb, who's alongside Zack Sabre Jr. at the top of the block, is favoured by -200 to beat 1-1 Hiroshi Tanahashi (+150) in what will be the penultimate match of the round.
The A and B Block matches will begin at 10:30AM BST tomorrow. The round will then resume with the C and D Block contests at 10:00AM BST on Sunday.
