In a follow up to yesterday's post about a Sports Illustrated article which indicated that Gunther was 'the favourite' to win Saturday's Royal Rumble, there has been a change in BetOnline's market for the battle royal.
The adjustment has seen Gunther move to the top of the market as a +150 joint-favourite alongside CM Punk.
When I wrote yesterday's post, the current WWE Intercontinental Championship holder was in third place on the list.
Over here in Europe, the sportsbooks have made Gunther a second-favourite or joint-second (with Cody Rhodes) depending on where you were to look.
It's worth noting that, when websites like Paddy Power and Sky Bet first opened their Rumble '24 books during the spring of last year, Gunther was the early second-favourite with both businesses. His price drifted out as the months wore on, but they are now back to the position where they started out following his status as runner-up in the 2023 Rumble.
CM Punk is odds-on favourite with those firms.
