Well, not in the betting markets.
As of the time of writing, Gunther is in the upper portion of sportsbook's markets for Sunday's Saturday's battle royal, but he isn't THE favourite.
Ahead of the current WWE Intercontinental Champion are CM Punk and Cody Rhodes respectively. And that's going by the market from BetOnline. Other businesses, like Sky Bet and William Hill, have The Rock, and - in the case of the latter - Drew McIntyre ahead of Gunther.
Barasso is suggesting Gunther is favourite because - on Monday Night Raw - the Imperium leader interrupted a Seth Rollins promo to convey his intent to choose Rollins as his WrestleMania opponent should he be victorious over the weekend.
The writer's opinion, that Gunther is favourite, has been cast based on that one promo from Monday.
I'm not saying that Rollins .vs. Gunther isn't a new direction for Mania. However, it has not made Gunther a favourite where it matters.
