A Saturday Morning Look Through WWE MITB '24 Betting Markets

I have been following BetOnline's markets for tonight's WWE Money in the Bank event since they were respectively published across the last few weeks. In this post, I'll go through each match and share with you all of the adjustments I've been able to catch.

Starting with what could be the bout which sets up a SummerSlam main event, we have..

Six-Man Tag
I first began following the market for the six-man on June 26th. At the time, the selection for 'Randy Orton, Cody Rhodes and Kevin Owens' was +275 and 'The Bloodline' option was a -450 favourite.

The market stalled at those numbers for days. However, there was a change overnight which has seen the odds for The Bloodline slashed into -1,500 while their opponents now out to +600.

WWE Intercontinental Championship
Just like with the six-man tag market, BetOnline's offering for those looking to wager on the winner of the Intercontinental Title match was released a week last Wednesday.

At the time, Sami Zayn's challenger - Bron Breakker - was a +120 underdog. He has since become the match favourite and currently rests at -225 after moving in from -150 overnight.

A decision which favours Sami Zayn is presently +160. That's up from his initial -165.

World Heavyweight Championship
Despite being the betting underdog, the punters appear to be siding with Seth Rollins to get the win over World Heavyweight Champion - Damian Priest - in their meeting.

As you can see above, the challenger's odds were moved up from +250 to +350 between Tuesday June 18th and the following day. From there, however, Rollins' price has steadily declined and has been at +150 for the past three days.

The match stipulations states that, should Rollins lose, he won't be able to challenge Damian Priest for the title for the remainder of Priest's reign.

On the other side of the market - Priest, who started off at -400 and is currently -200, will lose his ties with The Judgment Day if he gets the L.

Here are some things to consider about both stips.

Drew McIntyre has teased winning the Money in the Bank briefcase and cashing in on Priest, Rollins or both (if he makes the match a three-way) later in the show. Would those stipulations become obsolete should McIntyre make it a triple threat?

Don't forget Gunther is the SummerSlam challenger for whoever is holding the strap next month. Back in January, Gunther and Rollins had a face-to-face on Raw ahead of the Royal Rumble which saw Gunther vow to challenge Rollins for the title should he be victorious in the battle royal. Could this be on the punters' minds as they have gambled on Rollins?

Men's Money in the Bank Ladder Match
Seeing as I've mentioned McIntyre, I may as well go straight to the Men's Money in the Bank ladder match market.

As I've written within the week, McIntyre was BetOnline's -200 favourite when the market was initially installed. His odds have drifted out to +150 due to the wagers seemingly coming in on Jey Uso (+250 into -175 favourite) and, to a lesser extent: Chad Gable, who started out at +900 but fell into +500 before moving up to +525, and Andrade who plummeted from +700 into +275 within six minutes on Tuesday afternoon. He has since been pushed out to +1,400.

To round things off - LA Knight's price has doubled from +600 and Carmelo Hayes has moved out to +1,400 from +1,200.

Women's Money in the Bank Ladder Match
In the segment I dedicated to the wagering on the men's Money in the Bank ladder match, I noted that there was a six minute period which saw Andrade's price tumble from +700 into +275. Something similar happened to the selection for Chelsea Green.

Surprisingly, the BetOnline oddsmakers placed Green at +900 on Tuesday before slashing her odds into +150 minutes later.

Green has been either a favourite or second-favourite in markets available in Europe, so 9/1 was an amazing price to see her at for the few short moments.

The Euro sportsbooks have Tiffany Stratton as their favourite just like she has been with BetOnline since betting commenced earlier this week.

Zoey Stark was initially BetOnline's second-favourite. Starting out at +160, she has since floated out to +1,000.

Taya Valkyria (+1,200) and last year's winner - Iyo Sky (+3,300) - have drifted out from +800 and +1,200 respectively.

Naomi was pushed to +1,800 from +1,400 following the initial move, or moves, on Chelsea Green but has since returned to her earlier odds.

And that's all for now. There are some specials for the event available. I wrote about those IN THIS POST.
