Paddy Power Customers Siding With The 'Yes' In JBL Betting

Paddy Power customers have evidently sided with World Wrestling Entertainment continuing to employ John Bradshaw Layfield despite the latter finding himself in the midst of a storm over alleged bullying and hazing of colleagues.

In a post published yesterday, I noted that the oddsmakers of the Irish betting agency had priced up a market where customers could wager on JBL still being contracted to WWE on July 1st of this year.

At the time of the post, the 'Yes' was available at 4/6. The 'No' was 11/10. As of this morning, the market is:

'Yes' has been cut to 4/7 while the 'No' has drifted out to 5/4.

I've found it difficult to determine whether WWE will react to this story. Therefore, I haven't felt compelled to back either option.

A number of news outlets have covered the scandal, but WWE - as a publically traded company - hasn't commented or acted. This makes me believe that, as of right now, the game plan is to ride it out and see if things blow over.

If the coverage intensifies, WWE will have to make some sort of a response.
