Jinder Mahal Backed In WWE World Championship Betting

Jinder Mahal's odds to be the next WWE World Champion after Randy Orton have been cut from 5/1 to 7/2.

As noted last Wednesday, oddsmakers are taking bets on will be the next WWE World Champion.

Mahal's odds were shortened sometime after Saturday, which was a few days after Mahal became the number one contender.

It seems to me that the customers have backed Mahal at 5/1 because they know he's the next in line to challenge Orton for the strap. However, there's a chance that Mahal's price to win the singles match at WWE Backlash 2017 could be in the double-figures when they go live next month.

As a result of the move, Shinsuke Nakamura has increased from 7/2 into 5/1.

Baron Corbin remains favourite at even money.

With Smackdown being the brand that houses the WWE World Championship, I expect the market to be temporarily removed before tonight's episode goes live. The odds - as of 2:25pm BST today - can be viewed in the image below.
