WrestleMania 34 Main Event Betting Odds Update

Another Kambi betting market that I was unable to cover last weekend due to WWE Tables, Ladders and Chairs 2017 being a priority was the one where customers can have a bet on what they believe will be the final match of WrestleMania 34.

This particular market was published in early-July and has been taken down and republished a few times since then.

When first installed, the oddsmakers had John Cena .vs. Roman Reigns at the top of the board. This is because - at that time - it seemed that there was a chance that the planned Mania main event, of Brock Lesnar versus Roman Reigns, had been brought forward to SummerSlam instead.

As we now know, Reigns versus Lesnar did not take place at SummerSlam and we got to see Reigns versus Cena at No Mercy. Therefore, I believe it's a safe bet that the Lesnar versus Reigns plan is still on.

But, will it go last?

WWE WrestleMania 34 Main Event Betting Odds

As noted, any wagers in this market will be graded on what the final match of the night is on April 8th 2018.

The punters have evidently chosen to continue backing 'Lesnar vs Reigns' as it has descended to 1/7 from 1/4 since mid-September.

Personally, I think that they're on the right side. However, what I believe is a conspicuous absence - as of the time of writing - is a selection for a potential John Cena versus Jinder Mahal match.

Mahal has hinted that he wanted John Cena as his WrestleMania opponent and - with Cena aiming for his seventeenth world championship - it would not be a surprise to see an argument being made for Cena's title quest being given top billing at Mania if he's going for WWE's version of history.

The market was published a couple of days after the announcement that Kurt Angle would replace Roman Reigns in the main event of Tables, Ladders and Chairs 2017. This news coincided with the oddsmakers snipping 'Any Kurt Angle Match' from 25/1 to 12/1.

I highly doubt Angle will be in that position on a Mania card ever again.

The selections that have moved out are Roman Reigns .vs. Shinsuke Nakamura (17/1 to 20/1), Braun Strowman .vs. Shinsuke Nakamura (17/1 to 20/1) and Brock Lesnar .vs. John Cena (7/4 to 5/2).
