Ronda Rousey Betting Update Following The MITB 2018 Announcement

Following the announcement that Ronda Rousey would challenge Nia Jax for the WWE Raw Women's Championship at Money in the Bank on June 14th, a number of betting markets - specific to WWE's newcomer - have been adjusted by the Kambi oddsmakers.

Before the match was publicised, customers of the sportsbooks that publishes Kambi's WWE markets were able to place bets on the date when Rousey wins either of the two major women's championships in WWE and another where punters could bet on the person who scores a victory over her.

These markets are still available, but have drastically changed with Monday's news.

The latter markets were first installed in early April. At the time they went live, customers could have backed 'Before or During MITB 2018' at 5/2. It is now down to 4/6.

As of the time of writing, Rousey's Money in the Bank opponent - Nia Jax - is 3/4 to be the person who scores a pinfall, submission or ref stoppage decision over the former UFC Bantamweight Champion.

Jax had opened at 5/1, but did spend some time at 6/1 in mid-April.

With Rousey potentially - but not certainly! - winning the title in four weeks, the match also makes the 'Road to WrestleMania 35' market interesting.

When the match was announced, a title win for Rousey 'Before or During Money in the Bank' was at 12/1. It was cut to 10s, but bets placed on Monday afternoon were voided due to the rule that bets made after social media announcements would be cancelled

The market opened back up yesterday with the option at 3/4. It has since fallen a little bit more to 13/20.

It's going to be an intriguing month seeing how these odds move. Especially if the markets are still in-contention beyond Money in the Bank.
