WWE Champion After AJ Styles Update For June 27th

Kambi's 'WWE Champion After AJ Styles' market was republished today with a number of notable changes.

WWE Champion After AJ Styles Betting Odds

The special, where customers can place wagers on the who they believe will succeed Styles as the WWE Champion, last had Samoa Joe and Rusev as 5/4 joint-favourites when I last wrote about it on Saturday evening.

Rusev - who is the number one contender and will face Styles at Extreme Rules on July 15th - has drifted out to 2/1 while Joe has been cut to 19/20 and is now the sole fave.

I believe there's a good reason why the market has adjusted in this manner.

WWE Hell in a Cell 2018 San Antonio Article

The website of a San Antonio, Texas television station revealed that September's Hell in a Cell PPV would take place from the city. In the article, the writer mentions two matches. They are Roman Reigns .vs. Kevin Owens and AJ Styles .vs. Samoa Joe.

The wording of the article implies that Styles will be defending his championship against Joe during the show. This could be why Rusev's odds to succeed Styles have increased. Granted, I don't believe that Rusev is winning the strap at Extreme Rules. However - what should be noted about WWE sending out copy like this to arenas and media outlets is done to not give away any hint that titles are switching.

For what it's worth - if the match really does happen, I think Styles will be the challenger by then.

Another selection whose price has been cut is Daniel Bryan. He has moved in from 2/1 into 6/4.
