Another Look Through Bwin's WrestleMania 33 Specials

It has been almost four weeks since the bwin Sportsbook released WrestleMania 33 specials where its customers can bet on which wrestlers they believe will walk out of the event as champions. I have decided to go back over these markets to see how the odds have changed.

Here are the markets and prices as of this afternoon. Below them are the differences I have noticed since June 1st.

There has been no changes made in two markets (Intercontinental Championship and Women's Title).

The New Day have now become favourites to leave Mania 33 as WWE World Tag Team Champions. They had previously been 7/2 to do so. Enzo and Cass have now moved out from 6/4 to 4/1.

The Wyatts (6/1)  have been added to the list since the previous visit to the market.

Of the four markets, it's the WWE World Heavyweight Championship odds that have have been adjusted the most.

With Dean Ambrose having won the WWE Title at Money in the Bank a little over a week ago, his price to still be holding the strap at the close of Mania has dropped from 7/1 to 5/2.

Other selections whose prices have dropped are Kevin Owens (4/1 to 5/2), Seth Rollins (6/1 to 3/1) and AJ Styles who has gone down from 20s to 16/1.

As a result of these changes, the traders have improved the odds for the Roman Reigns (2/1 to 3/1), Brock Lesnar (5/1 to 6/1), Bray Wyatt (20/1 to 25/1) and Sheamus (40/1 to 66/1).

WrestleMania is set to take place on April 2nd of next year. There are so many twists and turns these titles will take over the coming months, so I think some of these outside shots still have a chance of coming in.

For example, I think American Alpha at 16/1 to be holding the tag straps at that point is well worth a look. I had requested the team be added to this list and have already placed a bet on them.

They just have to make it to the main roster in good time. Fingers crossed.

When they're available, the markets can be found under 'Entertainment' on the sportsbook menu at bwin.com

  1. Could you do a post about your cash out history and strategies with bwin/Partysports, Mr Taylor? I'm speculating in taking Wyatt WHC, Neville IC, Lynch WC, and American Alpha WTTC. If some of these are in the mix just before Royal Rumble; do you think they'll accept a cash out at that point?

    1. The important bit first - I asked about the cashing out in January and I was this is the response I was given:

'I’ve had a quick read, if he means backing now and then cashing out in a few months when odds are shorter. It’s possible but I can’t guarantee the cash out function will always be available personally.'

As for the post about my cash out history, I can't really see a reason why going through previous bets at these bookmakers would be of interest and what it would achieve. I'm not hiding anything, just don't understand what the point would be in such an exercise.

The two posts from last week were more to do with how the MITB/Next WWE Title markets were settled and I used my own bets or suggestions to tell the tale in some, but not all, cases.

    1. Hasn't been confirmed by WWE yet, but there are two images of timetables doing the rounds. One of which is from somebody at Sky Italia and he has a proven track record.
