McMahon Now 13/2 To Appear At UFC 200

Vince McMahon is now 13/2 to be in attendance at UFC 200 on July 9th.

A little under a week ago, the Betfair Sportsbook published a handful of proposition markets for the UFC event and one of them gave clients the opportunity to wager on the WWE head being present to see his employee, Brock Lesnar, take on Mark Hunt in one of the big fights of the evening.

The market opened at 12/1, but was soon cut to 8/1. The price has now continued its descent, now resting at 13/2.

In the post where I noted the WWE-themed markets available for UFC 200, I surmised that UFC could offer an invitation to the WWE higher-ups like Vince, Shane or Stephanie McMahon due to them having allowed Lesnar to return to the Ultimate Fighting Championship for one night only. Within the past week, Stephanie McMahon was interviewed by Business Insider and was asked about the UFC-Lesnar-WWE agreement. She made a point to distance WWE from the UFC with the proclamation that WWE is 'not supporting the fight necessarily'.

Vince McMahon making an appearance was always going to be a long-shot, His daughter's words are of no comfort to me. Nor should they be to anybody else who has backed his appearance since the market was installed.

This market can be found alongside other UFC 200 specials in the 'Mixed Martial Arts' section of the sportsbook at Betfair.com.
