Kambi Publishes Wrestling Observer Star Rating Props For Payback 2017

Just like for WrestleMania 33, the oddsmakers at Kambi have once again published markets that might be of interest to Wrestling Observer Newsletter readers.

The traders have opened two markets specific to the newsletter's editor, Dave Meltzer, and his popular match rating system.

The first market is a simple 'Yes' and asks 'Any match on the card to be awarded five stars or more?' The odds - as of the time of writing - are out at 20/1,

The second market is one where clients can predict which match on tonight's card will get the most stars. The selections, and their odds, are:

Cruiserweight Championship 4/5
US Championship 6/4
Seth Rollins .vs. Samoa Joe 2/1
Raw Women's Championship 5/2
Raw Tag Team Championship 5/1
Roman Reigns .vs. Braun Strowman 7/1
Randy Orton .vs. Bray Wyatt 10/1
Enzo Amore and Big Cass .vs. Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson 15/1

The two markets will be settled on how the matches are graded in the upcoming issue of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter. It's usually published on a Thursday (Sub required: f4wonline.com)

I haven't placed a bet on either market, but I think the trader has the right favourite. If Neville and Aries get enough time, there's a good chance of it being the best match of the night. If I had to make a pick other than one, I guess I'd go for Seth Rollins versus Samoa Joe.

If there was a market where customers could bet on the match having the lowest amount of stars, I'd go for the House of Horrors match without a second thought.

For WrestleMania, the winning selection was the Shane McMahon .vs. AJ Styles match. You can read about how it was settled in this post.

These markets can be found on sports betting websites that use Kambi pricing. I have a few links to the pages below:

  1. I've took the 7/1 on Reigns vs Strowman. Always entertaining in my opinion.
