Dwayne Johnson And Presidential Election Odds

Earlier this week, I came across a GQ interview that was conducted with Dwayne Johnson after a number of wrestling news websites featured stories about it.

The main angle the interviewer took with her piece was to speculate on Johnson's chances of one day becoming President of the United States. The Rock appeared to be open to the suggestion.

As soon as I read it, I thought to myself that 'this should be interesting'. I immediately checked out the domestic odds for Johnson to win the 2020 Presidential Election just to see whether there would be any action on this market once the story made its way around the mainstream.

I wasn't let down.

When I initially checked in with the markets, the top price available was 150/1. This was being offered on the politics specials over at Bet365.com. I have looked back over them this morning and notice they have now been snipped to 66s.

The general price for a Rock victory in 2020 is 100/1. This can be found from bookmakers like Betfred, Coral, Sky Bet and William Hill. Overseas, the best available number that I can find is the +8,000 (80/1)  that is currently showing on the Politics prop bet section of the BetOnline website.

It's worth stressing that all of these markets are settled on the winner of the next presidential election in 2020. If Johnson were to ever run for the post - and it's a huge IF - he has to do so, and win, in three years.

Realistically, there's no chance of this ever happening.
