WWE Universal Champion After Lesnar Update For July 30th

In the early hours of this morning, I published a post where I looked at the Jinder Mahal markets where customers can have a bet on when Mahal drops the WWE Championship and who succeeds him.

I've looked through the Brock Lesnar markets this morning now that the WWE Universal Champion is in the news following last night's UFC 214 event where Jon Jones sent out a challenge.

In the market where clients can have a bet on the person who succeeds Lesnar for the title, the prices for two of Lesnar's upcoming opponents for the SummerSlam 2017 main event have been snipped.

Roman Reigns remains the favourite. His price has shortened from 3/10 to 1/5 while Braun Strowman has lowered to even money from 2/1.

Samoa Joe - who will be the fourth man in the ring on August 20th - has stayed at 3/1.

The Lesnar thing with Jones and the UFC is interesting. There are denials that Lesnar has re-entered the testing pool. Doing so would mean he is no longer retired from the sport. However, he still has to serve the rest of a one-year suspension that was put on ice when he announced his retirement earlier this year. To be able to fight again, Lesnar would have to come out of retirement by entering the pool and then serve the remainder of his suspension. This would keep him out of competition until at least the end of 2017. His current deal with WWE ends in the spring of 2018, so - unless he is granted a hiatus by his employers - 2018 would have to be the time when Lesnar fights again. If he is.

Handicapping when Lesnar is eligible to fight again makes the market where you can have a punt on the time when 'The Beast Incarnate' drops the strap is intriguing.

Date Brock Lesnar Drops Universal Championship Betting Odds For July 30th 2017

The price for the title changing hands during SummerSlam has moved in from 3/10 to 11/50. This isn't the only selection that has been cut as the oddsmakers and punters have also sided with 'Between Survivor Series but before the 2018 Royal Rumble' from 8/1 to 11/2 and 'During Royal Rumble' from 8/1 to 11/2.

If, and it's still if at the moment, Lesnar versus Jones is on the New Year or Super Bowl weekend UFC events, a good portion of the Survivor Series to before the Rumble selection could be during Lesnar's preparation. So, even though November 19th to January 27th 2018 looks good on paper, Lesnar might not be around during most of this period if the plan is for him to fight in December or February.

The market is available from the websites that use Kambi pricing. A couple of examples can be found below:
