Cena .vs. Reigns Confirmed For WWE No Mercy 2017

WWE has announced that then there will be another huge match-up at its next pay-per-view.

Roman Reigns .vs. John Cena was teased as a future bout on last week's episode of Raw. It now looks like it's going to be sooner than I had thought.

The match will be on the same No Mercy card as Brock Lesnar's defence of the WWE Universal Championship against Braun Strowman.

That's two huge WrestleMania-worthy matches right there.

I haven't read any website bring this idea up, but it is worth noting that No Mercy will be held a week before the end of the third business quarter and should therefore mean an increase in WWE Network subscribers. The company has done this trick for previous September PPVs. The last big one was having Sting versus Seth Rollins as the main event of Night of Champions two years ago.

If Reigns versus Cena is made official for September 24th, then that should really kill off any suggestion that the Lesnar versus Reigns match, that had been reported before this year's Mania, was changed following the decision to make John Cena a 'free agent' in WWE storyline.

For what it's worth, Roman Reigns is still a 4/6 favourite to leave WrestleMania 34 as WWE Universal Champion on Paddy Power's WWE Betting Page.
