2 HIAC 2017 'Method Of Decision' Odds Notes

The 'Any Other Method' selection in a market where customers can have a bet on the decision of tomorrow night's WWE Smackdown Women's Championship match has continued to drop.

In a post published earlier today, I pointed out that the option to back 'Any Other Method' - which is alongside 'Pinfall' and 'Submission' in the market - had dropped from 4/1 into 1/2 between Friday afternoon and today.

It has now been cut into 2/5.

In the aforementioned post, I mentioned that I was intrigued to see how tomorrow's match plays out because, after watching Smackdown this week - and seeing Charlotte Flair tap out to the Sharpshooter - I predicted that the title match would end in Flair putting Natalya in the Figure Eight.

I also noted how surprising it was to see this selection backed considering both Flair and Natalya have submission finishers.

As of the time of writing, a 'Submission' win - for either lady - will pay out at 6/5. This is an improvement from the opening 11/50.

Another 'Method of Decision' market that has caught my attention since yesterday is the one for the WWE Championship match.

Going in, I thought there was a chance of Shinsuke Nakamura getting the win but not the title, so was interested to see if the 'Any Other Method' would end up being backed when that market went live. I have not been surprised with how it's going so far.

Jinder Mahal versus Shinsuke Nakamura Method of Decision Betting Odds For HIAC 2017

For this bout, customers have the option to take 'Pinfall/Submission' or 'Any Other'. The bettors are evidently siding with the latter as it is now 11/5 after opening 4/1. It was 3/1 earlier today, but did have a stop at 7/2 sometime yesterday afternoon.

With the WWE Raw crew wrestling in India later this year, and with Jinder Mahal now confirmed for these shows, I and many others are guessing that the current titleholder will be in possession of the strap for the visit. Going into this weekend, I didn't think this meant that Shinsuke Nakamura was guaranteed a loss at Hell in a Cell. A win by disqualification or count-out would mean he gets the result, but not the title.

The main thing to point out is Nakamura has already lost to Jinder Mahal in this feud. I'm with the punters in thinking that this could end in anything other than a pinfall or submission.
