Champ After Carmella And After SummerSlam Updates For August 2nd

Following this week's episode of WWE Smackdown, which saw Charlotte Flair added to the Smackdown Women's Championship match for SummerSlam 2018, I was eager to see Kambi's 'Champion After Carmella' betting market.

The special was republished earlier today with the following prices:

Becky Lynch, who first won a title shot against Carmella for August 19th on last week's episode, remains a favourite. However, she has drifted out from a short 1/4 into 4/6. Charlotte - on the other hand - has dropped from 3/1 into an even-money second-favourite.

The only other selection that is showing different odds to when the market was last available is Asuka.

The Empress of Tomorrow was 3s, but has increased to 4/1.

With Charlotte now a potential champion coming out of SummerSlam, she has been reinserted into a market where customers can predict who'll be holding the Smackdown Women's Championship by the end of the August 19th PPV.

When she was last available, Flair was 17/4 after dropping from 5/1. She is now a shorter 2/1. The obvious thing I can write is - if you think Charlotte is succeeding Carmella for the strap, and believe it'll happen at SummerSlam, then the 2/1 is better than the EVS in the 'Champion After Carmella' market.

For what it's worth, Charlotte returning to the SummerSlam market has forced the bookies to adjust the two other potential winners of the triple threat match.

Becky Lynch has moved from 17/20 into 5/4. A successful retention by the hometown champion - Carmella - is now 6/4. This is an increase from 17/20.
