Moxley Beats Jericho For AEW World Championship

Jon Moxley defeated Chris Jericho for the AEW World Championship in the main event of the company's Revolution PPV from Chicago.

This result means that a couple of Kambi AEW specials will now be settled.

In the markets, customers were able to bet on the time-frame when Jericho dropped the strap. As well as that, they could also gamble on the person who succeed Jericho for the title.

There were two options to choose from in the 'Date Chris Jericho Loses AEW World Championship' market. The offerings were: 'Before/During March 1st 2020' and 'After March 1st'.

The winning selection is obviously the former.

Date Chris Jericho Loses AEW World Championship Special

It started out at 1/2 when the market was published in mid-September. By October, it was down to 2/5 but - from there - the customers appeared to have sided with Jericho's reign continuing through St. David's Day as the opposing selection - which had drifted out from 7/5 to 7/4 initially - went was down to 13/10 on November 16th, 6/5 by November 24th, and was at 3/4 in the first week of December.

Both options were at 17/20 pick 'em on December 14th after the eventual winner was backed from 19/20.

Then - in the first and only recorded adjustment made this year (the market was no longer available after January 15th) - the 'Before/During March 1 2020' selection was moved back up to 19/20 as the 'After 1 March 2020' selection fell from 17/20 into 3/4.

As for the 'AEW World Champion After Chris Jericho' market - the winning selection started out at 6/1 when it was released on September 16th.

It was out to 7s at the start of October, but returned to 6/1 by October 10th. It jumped back out to 7/1 on October 19th after Adam 'Hangman' Page and Kenny Omega were lowered.

Mox was out to 15/2 by Halloween before falling back into 7/1 in mid-November.

And then the selection tumbled.

I recorded it at 3/1 on November 24th, but then - by the afternoon of December 7th - Kambi had installed Moxley as a 4/6 favourite. He was then cut into 11/20 a week later and was at 2/5 when the market was last made available earlier this year.

The markets were available from most websites that have Kambi's pro wrestling betting odds. An example can be found by following the link below. These two were available from September 16th and were last seen on January 15th.
