It has been a fortnight since Bryan Danielson wrestled his first match as a member of the All Elite Wrestling roster, which means I am two weeks late in writing about the settlement of a Danielson special that BetOnline had published in August.
In August, the betting website offered customers the option to gamble on who they thought would compete against Bryan Danielson in his debut match for the company.
When it was released, the market listed CM Punk as the +175 favourite with the current AEW World Champion - Kenny Omega - priced as a +450 second-favourite.
It was indeed Omega who turned out to be the wining selection in the market. Danielson and Omega wrestled to a thirty-minute time limit draw in the opening match of the AEW Grand Slam specials that aired from Arthur Ashe Stadium on Septembers 22nd (live) and 24th (taped).
A similar market, in which customers were allowed to gamble on the person who CM Punk met in his AEW debut, was settled shortly after his match with Darby Allin at AEW All Out on September 5th.
