Meltzer's review, which was published this morning in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, had the four bouts of note each given four-and-three-quarter stars. They were the three-way for the AEW Tag Team Championship, Jon Moxley's win over Bryan Danielson, the dog collar match between CM Punk and MJF and the singles contest which saw Eddie Kingston beat Chris Jericho in the main show's opener.
From a betting perspective, Kambi will grade its market - which allowed customers to gamble on the match they thought would earn the most stars in Meltzer's review - as a dead-heat with four selections.
One of the most notable selections is the one titled 'Any Unlisted Match'. It was 20/1 initially, but had dropped into 12/1 at the start of the month. It'll be one of the four qualifying winners in the dead-heat because 'Chris Jericho .vs. Eddie Kingston' was one of the matches which didn't have its own selection in the running.
The tie means that a couple of proposition markets will be graded with 'Yes' and 'No' as the respective winners.
In the first, customers were asked whether or not two matches - or more - would get the highest amount of stars in Dave Meltzer's review.
You'll notice, in the table above, that - despite remaining an underdog of sorts throughout the betting - its odds fell leading into the weekend of the show. It started off at 6/4, but was 13/10 a day before the event.
In the second prop, customers were asked whether the top rated match of the PPV would beat the next best bout by at least half-a-star. Per the rules, 'Any 2 or more matches as highest rated will settle as NO' graded as the winning selection.
The eventual winner was a 2/5 favourite when I came across the market on February 21st. It had fallen into 7/20 a little over a week later.
A couple out of the four highest rated matches in the review were up against each other in a head-to-head. Customers were asked which, of the two, would receive the most stars in the report.
The three-way, for the AEW Tag Team Championship, was a 7/10 favourite over Bryan Danielson versus Jon Moxley (43/20) when wagering began.
Going by the betting, it's safe to conclude the consensus felt that the singles match would perform better as its price reduced each time the market was readjusted.
The eventual winning selection - 'Same Star Rating' - was 6/4 on the weekend of the show. This was up from its starting 13/10.
There were other proposition and head-to-head specials which will be graded now that the Observer has been released. However, before I tell those stories, it's time to focus on how Kambi will eventually settle one of its most popular star ratings markets: the over/unders.
All of Sunday's matches had lines for them. Taking a look at the table, the most noticeable observation is that there was an equal amount of matches which fell under or on/over their respective lines with six contests being graded less than Kambi's estimate and six hitting the line 'or more'.
There were two prop markets available which focused on the amount of matches with high scoring ratings. In the first, customers were able to bet whether or not six matches or more would receive four stars or higher from Meltzer while - in the other - gamblers punted on the possibility of four matches earing four-and-a-half stars or higher.
Both landed in favour of 'Yes'.
The market which asked whether there would be over five-and-a-half matches graded four stars or more opened with 'Yes' a 7/10 favourite over 'No'. By the weekend of the event, the eventual winner had dropped into 4/9 while its opposition had moved out from EVENS to 6/4.
The eventual losing selection of 'No' was the favourite in the market which asked whether there would be at least four matches graded four-and-a-half stars or higher.
Despite 'Yes' starting off as the underdog, the betting appears to have sided with the winner as it fell from 5/4 into 19/20 across the days it was available.
You'll notice that Adam Page's successful AEW World Championship defence against Adam Cole was graded four-and-a-half stars in the report. It performed better than the three-and-a-half star scoring AEW Women's Championship contest which saw Britt Baker successfully defend her strap against Thunder Rosa.
Both contests were in the penultimate head-to-head for the event.
The winning option was an 11/20 favourite to start off. It had been backed into 2/7 by the night of the event.
Finally, the dog collar match - won by CM Punk over MJF - claimed a victory over the Face of the Revolution ladder match in the last head-to-head for the PPV.
The ladder match was beaten by an entire star.
Punk .vs. MJF started as a 3/4 favourite over the 6/4 for the ladder match and 7/4 for 'Same Star Rating'. By March 3rd, the favourite had dropped into 8/13 while the other selections rose to 17/10 and 19/10 respectively.
There will be a look over the WrestleMania 38 star rating results next month because Kambi is currently taking Over/Under wagers on the matches that are being advertised for WWE's major event of the year.
Here are the lines so far:
2 Stars
Johnny Knoxville .vs. Sami Zayn
2.75 Stars
Women's Tag Team Championship 3-Way*
3 Stars
The Mysterios .vs. The Miz and Logan Paul
3.5 Stars
Drew McIntyre .vs. Happy Corbin
Pat McAfee .vs. Austin Theory
4 Stars
Brock Lesnar .vs. Roman Reigns
Becky Lynch .vs. Bianca Belair
Charlotte Flair .vs. Ronda Rousey
4.5 Stars
AJ Styles .vs. Edge
*When initially announced as a regular tag, Kambi installed a market for the match with a line of 2.5 Stars. The new market could also end up becoming obsolete if, or more likely - when, new teams are added.
