BetOnline republished its outright and block winner markets for the G1 Climax yesterday. On top of that, earlier today, I noticed that match winner markets for nights 11 and 12 have been created.
In today's G1 post, I'll go through the outright and group markets and then show you what the prices are for the bouts set for tomorrow and Wednesday and point out some changes that have been made to a few of the markets since this morning.
G1 Climax 33 Outright Winner
The outright market has been refreshed with some of the names now out of contention taken off the board.
When I last wrote about this market, there were four joint-favourites. Now there are only two in Will Ospreay and fellow Brit - Zack Sabre Jr. Both wrestlers have dropped from +250 into +200.
The other two wrestlers who were with Ospreay and ZSJ at +250 last time around - Kazuchika Okada and Jeff Cobb - have both drifted to +300 each.
One other name has had a price reduction and that is Tetsuya Naito. He was +1,000, but is now +600.
B Block Winner
The market for the B Block winner is unchanged with Will Ospreay at -120 followed by Kazuchika Okafa (+100). Here is the table for those who may want to see how the selections have altered since betting commenced on June 11th.
The only notable adjustments for the C Block Winner market have been to take out Aaron Henare, Tomohiro Ishii and Mikey Nicholls because they're now out of contention.
The bookmakers have kept David Finlay as their -200 fave to take the block.D Block Winner
With both Zack Sabre Jr. and Tetsuya Naito lowering in the outright, the bookmakers have reflected those moves by shortening both wrestlers in the D Block Winner special.
ZSJ is back on top of the market following a price cut from +120 into +100. He replaces Jeff Cobb, whose banana skin loss to Toru Yano has made the bookmakers push him up from -140 to +100 joint-favourite.
The aforementioned Naito was previously +400 but is now at +300.
Hiroshi Tanahashi, who won yesterday's main event against Hirooki Goto to send his points to six from a possible ten, has had his odds halved from +2,000.
Nights 11 and 12
Here are the current odds for tomorrow and Wednesday.
I first came across those markets at 10:00AM BST today. There appears to have been some wagers placed because three markets have been adjusted since then.
SANADA was a -400 favourite to beat Gabe Kidd when they meet tomorrow. His odds have now dropped into -500 while Kidd's have increased to +300 from +250.
The other two markets that have changed are for Wednesday.
As you can see, in the table directly above, Tetsuya Naito was a -140 favourite at 10AM BST. His price has now moved into -150.
If Naito were to win (and I think he will), he'll move to eight points in D Block. That would also leave ZSJ on eight.
Wednesday's headline match will see Shingo Takagi attempt to get to seven points against David Finlay, who has eight.BetOnline had both wrestlers at -120 this morning. As of the time of writing, Takagi's down into -140 with Finlay now positioned as the underdog at odds of +100.
Takagi winning would keep him in the hunt leading into C Block's final round. If other results go his way tomorrow, of course.
