BetOnline republished its outright and group betting markets for the NJPW G1 Climax.
In this post, I'll go through the adjustments and point out the selections that have shortened since I last wrote about the markets a couple of days ago.
I'll start with the tournament winner odds and then get to the three remaining Block Winner markets. The A Block market has closed because no one can threaten SANADA's position as group leader.
Outright Winner
Following his first loss of the tournament, Zack Sabre Jr. is no longer BetOnline's sole favourite to win the entire thing.
ZSJ's odds have been moved up from +200 to +250. The bookmakers have kept both Kazuchika Okada and Jeff Cobb at +250 and have reduced Will Ospreay's price from +300 into +250 to create a four-way tie.
Following his win over David Finlay to open up the top of C Block, Tama Tonga's odds to be the outright winner have been reduced from its previous +1,400 into +1,000.
Another name whose odds have been cut following his most recent result is Shane Haste. He was a +500 victor over Kazuchika Okada on Night 8 and has now seen his outright winner price trimmed from +5,000 into +4,000.
B Block Winner
Will Ospreay's main event win over Kazuchika Okada on yesterday's show has seen him become odds-on favourite to take B Block.
Ospreay is -120. That's down from the most recent price of +200.
Yesterday's losing main eventer - Kazuchika Okada - was favoured with a price of -500 when I last wrote about this market. His price has now began to drift and is currently at +100.
With one win, and out of any chances to even qualify as a runner-up, Great-O-Khan has been taken off the board in this market as well as in the one for the tournament winner.
C Block Winner
As I wrote ahead of Wednesday's event, C Block needed Tama Tonga to beat David Finlay because it would have created a three-way tie at the top of the division. My prediction turned out to be accurate because Tonga did indeed pick up the two points and is now with EVIL and Finlay at the top of the Block.
Despite all three men being level in the tournament storyline, BetOnline still has David Finlay as the group favourite. However, his odds have increased and the other two wrestlers' have dropped.
Finlay is now at -200. That is up from the most recent -500.
Tama Tonga and EVIL were both +300 second-favourites before Wednesday's show. The former's price has been halved while EVIL has dipped into +200.
D Block Winner
Jeff Cobb's win over Zack Sabre Jr. on Night 8 caused a changing of the guards in both D Block and in its group market.
ZSJ, who had been odds-on to win since the market first opened, has now been pushed out to +120. Cobb, on the other hand, has continued to descend and is now at -140. He was most recently +100, but had started out at +350 on June 11th.
