Batista Also Announced For 2020 WWE Hall Of Fame

In the most recent post, I noted that ESPN had reported that the New World Order will be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame during next April's ceremony. Another name has also been revealed today.

WWE has just sent out a press release to inform that Dave Bautista will also be in next year's lineup.

Batista was another selection in a betting market in which customers could bet on who they thought would be the headline act of 2020.

As you can see, in the table below, Batista was initially at odds of 2/1 when the market was installed on March 10th. The selection closed at the 5/1 it was moved to last month.

For bets to graded as winners, the selection has to be the last person/s inducted on April 2nd.

nWo Reportedly Set To Be Inducted At The 2020 WWE Hall Of Fame

Marc Raimondi - from ESPN.com - has reported that the New World Order will be inducted into WWE's Hall of Fame next year.

The article states that the group will consist of Hulk Hogan, Kevin Nash, Scott Hall and Sean Waltman (Syxx).

Now that this news is out, a betting market - that was still available when I began writing this post - has been closed.

In the special, customers had the opportunity to gamble on who they believed would be the headliners of 2020's ceremony, which will take place on April 2nd.

The New World Order opened at 2/1 when the market was installed on March 10th of this year. Its highest point was 5/1 which was available in late-August and again on November 30th. For what it's worth, the selection was the only option that had lowered a couple of days after the market was republished on November 30th.

Its closing price was 3/1.

Update: Shortly after publishing this post, WWE sent out a press release to announce that Batista is also set to be in the class of 2020.

WWE 2020 HoF Odds Notes For December 3rd

Kambi's 2020 WWE Hall of Fame headliner market has been adjusted since I last wrote about it a couple of days ago.

The selection for The New World Order, which was 5/1, has been snipped to 3/1.

As a result of this - The Rock and The Undertaker, who were 33/20 joint-favourites, have been moved up to 2/1.

2020 WWE Hall Of Hame Headliner Betting Update For December 1st

Kambi's betting market, in which customers can bet on who they believe will be the headliner of the 2020 WWE Hall of Fame ceremony was republished yesterday with a a number of selections' prices shortened.

All of the price changes I've recorded can be viewed in the image. Below the picture are some notes about the recent changes.

• The Undertaker and The Rock are joint-favourites again. As of right now, both men are 33/20. This time however, Taker's price has moved in as he was 2/1 when the market was last available. Rock has drifted from 6/4 favourite to 33/20
• John 'Bradshaw' Layfield has been taken down to 15/2 from 17/2
• William Regal is also 15/2 from 17/2. Of all the selections, I've found Regal's fluctuation intriguing as his price has been as high as 40/1 and it would appear he is being backed, but I don't know if the person - or persons - backing him are aware that it's to be the headline act and not just to be a part of the 2020 class
• With CM Punk now kind of back in WWE, or at least working for a FOX-produced WWE show, his price has had a steep drop from 100/1 into 10/1

I've already noted that Dwayne Johnson's odds have moved up from 6/4 into 33/20. Here are the other selections that have drifted:

• Batista is up from 4/1 to 5/1
• The New World Order has also moved to 5/1 from 4/1
• Vince McMahon has gone from 7/1 to 10/1
• Triple H is up from 33s to 40/1
• Linda McMahon is now 50/1 from 40/1
• 'Any female inducted as a single inductee (excluding Linda McMahon and Ronda Rousey)' has been placed at 66/1 from 50/1
• Ronda Rousey is 150/1 from 100/1
• Eric Bischoff is up from 160/1 to 250/1

The 2020 Hall of Fame ceremony will take place on Thursday April 2nd.

The Rock Returns To Sole Favourite In 2020 WWE Hall Of Fame Betting Market

With Dwayne Johnson returning to WWE to celebrate Smackdown's move to FOX, I thought it was worth mentioning the fact that - earlier this week - the oddsmakers from Kambi placed 'The Rock' back into sole favouritism to be the headline act of next year's Hall of Fame ceremony.

When Kambi first created the market back in March, the oddsmakers opened with The Rock as a 6/4 favourite. He has been battling names like The Undertaker and Batista for the top spot in the betting ever since.

The market was readjusted on Tuesday with the megastar back as a sole favourite returning to 6/4.

Before the adjustment, Johnson and The Undertaker were 7/4 joint-favourites. The lowering of the favourite's price means that Taker has drifted out to 2/1.

Batista, who opened as one of the 2/1 second-favourites and has been fluctuating along with Rock and Taker, remains in third place with a price of 4/1.

Undertaker Now 7/4 Favourite To Headline 2020 WWE Hall Of Fame Ceremony

The Undertaker has become the Kambi oddsmakers' favourite to be the headliner of the 2020 WWE Hall of Fame.

Taker, who was 7/2 when the market was first published on March 10th, had recently moved to 2/1 but has now dipped to 7/4.

This move means he is now the only favourite on the board. He had shared the spot with two other wrestlers - Batista and The Rock - since the end of May.

With Taker moving in, The Rock has moved up to 23/10 while Batista has stayed at 2/1.

Regal's Odds To Headline 2020 WWE Hall Of Fame Decline Again

The Kambi oddsmakers' 2020 WWE Hall of Fame market was adjusted on Friday with a name that was cut in the most recent update once again lowered.

In the post published on May 31st, I noted that William Regal was one of three names that had shortened between then and mid-May. His price went from 40/1 to 33/1 before May 30th. The decline has evidently continued as Regal has since been cut into 20/1.

You can see how the market has been adjusted in the table below.

It's interesting to see Regal backed.

In my opinion, if a Hall of Fame ceremony were ever held in Britain, I could absolutely see Regal - due to the fact that he's still alive and still a part of the WWE/NXT family - being the main event inductee during one of these gatherings.

I cannot see him being the main event attraction for 2020, but evidently at least somebody out there is willing to bet on Regal being put in that position.

2020 WWE HOF Betting Update For May 31st

Kambi's betting market, in which customers can place wagers on who they believe will be the headline inductee of the 2020 WWE Hall of Fame ceremony, now has three 2/1 joint-favourites in Batista, The Rock and The Undertaker.

Taker had started off at 7/2 when the market was first published in March. He was moved down to 9/4 earlier this month, but is now at the aforementioned 2/1.

His isn't the only selection to have shorter pricing than May 15th, though.

William Regal, who was installed at 33/1 on March 26th before moving out to 40/1 the following day, is now back to his previous price of 33s.

The second selection with shorter odds than before is the one for John 'Bradshaw' Layfield. 

JBL was in the market from day one with odds of 20/1. He rose to 25/1 by March 27th, but has now fallen back to 20/1.

Despite still being one of the favourites to be the final inductee of next year's event, The Rock has moved out from the 7/4 he was moved to, from 6/4, in late-March.

Two other selections have drifted since the middle of this month. They are Brock Lesnar and CM Punk. Both rose from 66/1 to 80/1.

2020 WWE Hall Of Fame Headliner Odds Update For March 27th

With The Hart Foundation announced as being inductees in the 2019 Class of the WWE Hall of Fame, the oddsmakers from Kambi have adjusted their market for the 2020 headliner.

The Hart Foundation was a selection in Kambi's market. So, with them now confirmed for 2019, the team was taken off the market some time before 4PM GMT yesterday afternoon. 

It wasn't the only change I realised on the 4PM visit.  They had also installed 'William Regal' at 33/1 and cut the prices for Vince McMahon (10/1 to 17/2) and Triple H (33/1 to 20/1).

I took another look through the market a few hours after that and recognised further adjustments.

The first noteworthy change was Batista's selection was cut from 2/1 into 7/4 and The Rock was 

moved up from 6/4 into 7/4 to make them both joint-favourites.

A new selection was also put up which will pay out on a female inductee being the headliner. To qualify, she can be inducted as a single inductee. As Linda McMahon is also in the running in the market, she's excluded from this selection. This option is 8/1.

Some selections have also increased. The New World Order is up to 3/1 from 2/1, John Bradshaw Layfield has increased to 25/1 from 20s, CM Punk went out to 50/1 from 40/1 and William Regal - who I mentioned above as being the most recent addition to the market - has already began to drift as he is now at 40/1 from 33s.

The Rock Favourite To Headline 2020 WWE Hall Of Fame

The Rock is a betting favourite to be the headline inductee of the 2020 WWE Hall of Fame class.

A betting market was released by Kambi this evening with Dwayne Johnson at 6/4 to be the star of the event which will be held in Tampa, Florida on the week of WrestleMania 36.

Another wrestler-turned-actor, Batista, appears as a 2/1 joint second-favourite alongside the New World Order.

D-Generation X And The 2019 WWE Hall Of Fame

It looks like D-Generation X will officially be announced as inductees for this year's WWE Hall of Fame ceremony.

And I would hazard a guess it'll be done by the end of the day.

A video has been circulating on Twitter today. It was recorded from the WWE Network. It indicated that DX will be going into the Hall of Fame and that tickets for the ceremony will go on sale later this week.

The Kambi oddsmakers were taking bets on the person - or persons - who would be the headline act of the 2019 Hall of Fame from April 8th right up to late-October of last year. D-Generation X was one of the selections available to customers.

When the market was first installed, the faction was 7/1. The selection was cut to 6/1 by May 19th (thumbs up if the first thing you thought of was Kane), but then - by June 7th - the selection had drifted back out to 10/1.

Its final cut came on August 29th when the bookies moved it to 4/1.

When the market was last available on October 22nd, it was the New World Order that was the betting favourite. It closed at 6/4.

Per the rules of the market, bets will be settled at the conclusion of the event as the winning act will be the one that is inducted last on the night.

2019 WWE HoF Betting Update For August 31st

It has been a few weeks since I last wrote about Kambi's betting market where customers can place wagers on who they believe will be the headline act of the 2019 WWE Hall of Fame.

When I last wrote about these specials, I noted that I had requested a handful of names be added to the market as I was curious to see what prices they would be given. Most of the names I picked were either associated with New York or were involved with the first WrestleMania.

One of the names popped up in my Twitter timeline today as Sami Zayn had tweeted out his surprise at realising that Cyndi Lauper was not already in the Hall of Fame. He is campaigning for her to be inducted in 2019.

Kambi had added her at 66/1 - a price she remains as of this post. However, it's highly unlikely that she'll be the final person inducted during the ceremony.

I really do believe that a celebrity from the first WrestleMania will be inducted. Lauper would be perfect.

Another selection that I requested - the New World Order - was moved into favouritism when the market was republished on Wednesday afternoon. As I wrote in the July 27th post - Hulk Hogan, Kevin Nash and Scott Hall have all been inducted as single acts and I strongly believe that there will come a time when the NWO will be enshrined as a group. 

The trio will be back together at a special question and answer event at Mango's Tropical Cafe in Orlando, Florida on  Saturday October 27th.

As for their odds - they were installed at 2/1, but are now down to 6//4.

They aren't the only selections to drop.

D-Generation X has been snipped from 10/1 into 4s, Kane from 8/1 into 6/1 and Vince McMahon from 10/1 into 8/1.

New Selections Added To Kambi's WWE HoF Market And Latest Prices

The oddsmakers from Kambi have added more names to their 2019 WWE Hall of Fame Headliner betting market.

These names were requested by yours truly. Mainly because I was curious to see what their opening prices would be.

Here's what I asked for and the odds that were applied.

Damien Demento 100/1 - I was thinking of wrestlers based in New York and surrounding areas and Demento was one of the names that I thought of! I was curious to see what he would be installed at. They didn't fail me by immediately placing him as the rank outsider.

Raven 80/1 - Another wrestler based on the east coast (unless he is living somewhere else). I doubt he'll be considered as he had recently tried to file lawsuits against the company.

Cyndi Lauper 66/1 - I was thinking of celebrities who are associated with New York and the first WrestleMania considering it's the thirty-fifth Mania. Lauper came to mind.

X-Pac 50/1 - Along with Triple H, Sean Waltman is the only other member of The Clique who hasn't been inducted. Unlikely to be the last inductee, but was intrigued to see what his price would have been.

Christian 50/1 - I requested Christian because there has been that running joke about him not having been inducted yet. Like Waltman, I don't think he would pass as a main inductee, but I was keen to see what price he would have been given.

Linda McMahon 25/1 - Like Vince, I don't think Linda McMahon will be inducted in her lifetime. I was curious to see how far off her price would be to Vince's opening odds of 20/1.

Brooklyn Brawler 25/1 - An highly unlikely main inductee, but has a better chance than Damien Demento because of his long tenure and other roles he worked for with WWE.

Bam Bam Bigelow 20/1 - Bigelow was one of the names that was rumoured to be in the running for this year's class. WWE has never had a posthumous headline inductee. Here's a controversial take, but - based on how their WWE careers contrast - Bigelow has a better chance of main eventing WWE's Hall of Fame than the current third-favourite, Vader. Any other Hall of Fame and it would be the other way around.

Muhammad Ali  5/1 - With Muhammad Ali being a part of the first WrestleMania, I really could see him being one day added as part of the celebrity wing.

New World Order 2/1 -  I am sure that, one day, the New World Order will be inducted into the Hall of Fame. The three main stars - Kevin Nash, Scott Hall and Hulk Hogan - have all been inducted singly, so it is only a matter of time. It wouldn't surprise me if Hogan's return to WWE leads to an nWo induction.

2019 WWE Hall Of Fame Betting Update For July 12th

The Kambi oddsmakers republished their 2019 WWE Hall of Fame Headliner market yesterday with some notable adjustments.

The Rock, who was 2/1 when I last wrote about the special earlier in the week, is now a joint-favourite alongside The Undertaker, who has drifted out from 3/5 into 5/4.

In Monday's update, I closed by mentioning my intention to bet on Rocky at 2s. This bet was placed, so that is the likely reason why he has been moved to the top of the market.

As you can see by clicking the table below, Dwayne Johnson isn't the only selection to have shorter odds than Monday.

The bookies have also cut Batista and Paul Heyman. The former went from 4/1 into 3/1 while Heyman has dipped from 8s into 6/1.

I can see why Heyman's odds have closed in. He's a New Yorker and, with the event taking place in Brooklyn during WrestleMania Week, he would fit perfectly. With that said, I don't know if WWE would have him be the final person inducted on the night.

Vader's WWE HoF Odds Now Down To 5/2

Vader's odds to be the headline inductee at next year's WWE Hall of Fame ceremony have continued to drop since I last wrote about them six days ago.

The star, who passed away last month, had fallen to 13/4 yesterday, but is now an even shorter 5/2. This is a huge drop from its opening number of 25/1.

As noted in previous coverage of these markets, the wrestler has to be the final name inducted on the night. I cannot see this happening and I'm quite surprised to see the price decline considering that WWE has never done a posthumous induction in the main event slot of these events.

With Vader's price moving in, the bookies have pushed Eric Bischoff out from 20/1 to 33/1 (this was over the weekend), Batista up from 7/2 into 4/1 and The Rock is now 2/1 from 7/4.

As soon as I've finished writing this post, I intend to place a small wager on The Rock. With the event taking place in New York (the city where Rocky Maivia made his official WWF debut in 1996) and with it being the weekend of the thirty-fifth WrestleMania, I think it's a perfect time for Dwayne Johnson's induction. This is, of course, if his schedule permits.

Vader's HoF Main Event Odds Cut Again

Vader's odds to be the headline inductee at the 2019 WWE Hall of Fame ceremony have continued to decline since his passing on June 18th.

He has dropped to 7/2 from 5/1 after starting off at 25s when the market was first published in early April.

Kambi's betting market - which will pay out on the wrestler who is the final inductee of next year's event during WrestleMania Week - was temporarily taken down ahead of last night's episode of Raw, but I was able to catch the adjusted prices before their removal.

I'm still somewhat surprised that people are gambling on Vader being the main event inductee.

WWE has never had a  posthumous induction in the final spot of these events. The most notable example I can point to is 'Macho Man' Randy Savage's inclusion in 2015. His induction was in the semi-main event portion of how these events are booked with Arnold Schwarzenegger following as the celebrity inductee and then Kevin Nash in the main event slot.

In 2006, months after his passing, Eddie Guerrero was in the semi-main slot with Bret Hart headlining.

Part of me believes that maybe the punter is unaware that Vader has to be the headline act despite it being blatant from how the market is worded on the website.

With Vader's price moving in, the bookies have moved Dave Bautista out to 7/2 from 5/2.

WWE 2019 HoF Odds Update For June 23rd

Kambi's betting market - where customers can place wagers on who will be the headline act of the 2019 WWE Hall of Fame - was republished this afternoon with the odds for two selections evidently cut.

Vader passed away on Monday night. His price has been affected by this news because it has been snipped from 8/1 into 5/1.

As I wrote in the Hall of Fame odds update from May 11th - when I pointed out Vader's odds fall from 25/1 into 12/1 - I didn't believe he had a chance of being the headline act of a WWE Hall of Fame simply because of how he was booked in his short tenure with the company. Now that he has passed on, I think the chance of him being the main event of a ceremony is even less likely.

The other name who has been cut is Vince McMahon. His price has dipped from 12/1 into 10/1.

One thing that is well-known about Vince McMahon and the Hall of Fame is that he always likes the ceremonies to be about the talent and not himself.

With that said, I wonder whether the customer who has backed McMahon has done so with the idea that it'll be the thirty-fifth anniversary of WrestleMania in New York - the city where Mania was born.

IWGP Intercontinental Champion, Chris Jericho, and Daniel Bryan have had their prices increased. The former has risen from 8/1 to 10/1 and Bryan is now 12/1 from 8s.

The Undertaker remains a 3/5 favourite. Next up is The Rock at 7/4.

JBL's WWE Hall Of Fame Odds Drop

John 'Bradshaw' Layfield's odds to be the headline inductee at next year's WWE Hall of Fame ceremony have dropped in a special betting market.

The Kambi oddsmakers, who first published this market in April of this year, have cut the former WWE Champion from 15/1 into 8/1.

This is the first time Layfield's price has changed in the two months, or so, the customers have been able to bet on who they believe will be the final person introduced to the audience on the week of WrestleMania 35.

The Undertaker, who went from 4/6 to 3/5 in the first weeks the market was available remains at the top of the betting.

With Layfield's odds having been cut recently, the bookies have increased the odds for two selections.

Chris Jericho is now 8/1 from 6s. This is interesting considering his price dropped from 7/1 into the aforementioned 6/1 when I last wrote about the odds on May 19th.

The other selection that has drifted out is 'D-Generation X'. This was also slashed from 7/1 to 6/1 in May, but has now been pushed out to 10/1.

Bets will be settled on whoever is the final person inducted on the night of the event.

WWE 2019 Hall Of Fame Betting Update For May 19th

The Kambi oddsmakers republished their WWE 2019 Hall of Fame betting market earlier today. The list has had a number of adjustments made to it since it was last made available to customers.

As you can see, four selections' prices have been cut will three have increased.

Those to have moved up are Big Show (5/1 to 6/1), Kane (5/1 to 6/1) and Daniel Bryan (7/1 to 8/1).

The names that have declined are Vader (12/1 to 8/1), Paul Heyman (10/1 to 8/1), D-Generation X (7/1 to 6/1) and Chris Jericho (7/1 to 6/1).

For bets to be settled as winners, the selection has to be the final act inducted on the April 5th of next year. Seeing Vader declining has me wondering whether the people backing him are aware of this rule because - as I have written in previous posts - seeing his price lowering doesn't make any sense.

I can absolutely see Vader being a name that would be brought in for such a ceremony, but - based on how he was booked by WWE during most of his time with the company - I cannot envision him being placed in the headline slot for the Hall of Fame.

2019 WWE HoF Betting Update For May 11th

Kambi's betting market - where customers can place wagers on who they believe will be the headline act of the 2019 WWE Hall of Fame ceremony was republished today with a couple of adjustments.

Daniel Bryan has once again drifted out. He's now at 7/1 after opening at 3/1 in early-April.

It makes sense to see Bryan's odds continue to drift now that he has returned to active duty.

Vader, who has recently been battling health issues related to his heart, has been snipped from 25/1 into 12/1. 

In my opinion, Vader is absolutely the sort of wrestler that WWE would have included in a ceremony like this. However, I cannot see Vince McMahon booking him as the headline act, which is what this market is all about.

For bets to win, Vader would have to be the final person inducted. I respect everything Vader has done (mainly in Japan and WCW), but I cannot envision WWE honouring him with the main event slot in any of its ceremonies.
