The market of note is the head-to-head matchbet between Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins. The winning selection is the person who is drafted the first out of the two.

Roman Reigns .vs. Seth Rollins Draft Matchbet Odds (Click Image To Expand) |
In a post published in the early hours of June 3rd, when writing about this particular market, I stated that I thought the 1/2 for Roman Reigns was a decent price. This was obviously before Reigns was popped by the WWE Wellness Policy and was given a thirty-day suspension. The next checkpoint I made, on July 1st, indicates that the oddsmakers had changed the prices with the idea that Reigns will be a late draft pick as he will be still be serving his suspension on the night when the talent is split off into two brands.
On Monday, I wrote the following:
This one has flipped totally as it initially had Rollins 7/5 and Reigns 1/2. I gave out Reigns as the one to pick. My instinct is telling me he's still worth a play here. What better way to wind up Rollins than to have the suspended Reigns picked ahead of him? He spent the opening of last Monday's Raw taking a shot at Reigns' for his violation. Don't forget, Reigns will still be serving his ban at the time of the draft, so having him picked ahead of Rollins could set off the most recent champion ahead of the triple threat match a few days later.
I watched Raw the following morning. What I wrote a day earlier seems to be where it's going. I think WWE will still have Roman Reigns drafted early on the night, but - more than that - I have a strong feeling they're setting it up for him to be selected before Seth Rollins. By July 19th, Rollins would have had more time to be critical of Reigns. It seems like a perfect setup for him to get his comeuppance on the night of the draft.
The 7/5 from Monday's visit moving to 6/5 indicates that the punters - or maybe even the oddsmakers - have the same idea hence the price shortening.
There are other markets that have changed since Monday, but this is the one that deserves the spotlight in tonight's post. I'll have a look through other draft specials over the next few days.
This market can be found under 'WWE' at 888Sport.com and all the websites that appear on this list.

Deleteone question
ReplyDeleteif you bet on the 3 option ambrose/seth/roman ,picking the last one and ambrose is not drafted for being champ,is bet void or not?
Yes, it would be voided.
DeleteAll Dean Ambrose matchbets would be voided if he isn't drafted.
DeleteThe ruling: 'Should any of the listed participant(s) ends up not getting drafted for whatever reason, or all the listed participant(s) are drafted in a single pick (where applicable), bets will be declared void.'
