2018 WWE Hall Of Fame Betting Update For July 3rd

In June, the oddsmakers from Kambi published a market where customers can bet on who they believe will be the headline inductee of the 2018 WWE Hall of Fame. It was temporarily removed shortly afterwards, but was republished on last Wednesday.

I expect the market will be taken down either today or tomorrow ahead of Raw or Smackdown, so wanted to show what the present odds are.

The Undertaker remains a favourite to be the main event of next year's ceremony. He opened at 1/2, but has now shortened to 2/5.

Daniel Bryan is another name that has been snipped. He was 2/1 on June 18th, but is now 7/4.

With Taker and Bryan moving in, the odds for Bill Goldberg (2/1 to 5/2) and The Rock (4/1 to 5/1) have been increased.

I wrote last month that, of all the names on the list, the two that stood out to me were The Undertaker and Daniel Bryan.

With Taker appearing to retire at the close of this year's WrestleMania, it would make sense for his participation at WrestleMania 34 to be as a Hall of Famer rather than a wrestler. Interestingly, the ceremony will be held in the same city as Taker's first WrestleMania loss - New Orleans.

Daniel Bryan, who was forced to retire due to injury at the start of 2016, is another name that would not surprise me to see as the main act in the Class of 2018.

Bryan's current deal with WWE is due to expire in late 2018, so - if he doesn't sign - next year's Hall of Fame ceremony could be the last opportunity WWE will have to honour him.

WWE is running thin on headliners for these ceremonies, so I can't see Bryan and Taker being inducted in the same year. To play devil's advocate, if they were - the market will be settled on the person who main events the ceremony. That would be Taker and wagers on Bryan would be graded as lost.

The market is available from the websites that run Kambi odds. You can view a couple of examples below:
